Men's 1sts

Despite having lost 3 matches and with rivals Bromley CC going unbeaten all summer, Dulwich 1stteam were still in with a chance of winning the Div1 title going into the final fixture. Needing to win 4-0 to pip them by one point, Iain got the job underway with a 3/0 win. Lauren lost the first, but turned things round to win in 4. Alex kept the fans on the edge of their seats but got home in 5 to set up a fitting finale. Mr 50/50 stepped up needing to win to win the league. Having beaten opponent James 3/2 a few weeks earlier it was always going to be tight. The matched ebbed and flowed its way to 2-2, 9-9 before James won a brutal rally and then framed a winner to close it out. Finishing tied on 216 points with Bromley, it was their 16 out of 16 wins that proved decisive!

Men's 2nds

A difficult summer, marred by our number 2 taking off to play the world masters and never returning! The team pulled together to avoid relegation, helped by the delayed arrival of baby Nicholson (Nicholson seems to get better with each baby that comes - or is he just getting more experienced at working the squash levels system?!) . Strong efforts from Joss and Lloyd to record wins when it counted. Rich showed signs of quality and we hope to get an injury free season out of him this winter. Alex a stalwart as ever propping up the back end of the team (and the bank balance) when called on. Grinnell was chomping at the bit for an away trip to Canterbury that never happened. Onwards to winter when a new fining and motivation system will be in place!

Men's 3rds

It was an up and down season for the 3rd team, which finished appropriately enough with a solid mid table finish. New captain Shane Shevlin picked up the reigns from Ian Armstrong, who was taking some time out due to injury. It was a challenging first half of the season, with difficulties in getting a full strength team out week to week and a reliance on the 4th teams to make up the numbers! However a strengthening of the squad at the half way point, in particular adding Oli Kirkness who became a team stalwart for the 2nd half, settled things down. Well done to Steve Harsum, who in winning over 70% of his games had the best overall individual results. Other than 5-0 defeats to league winners Blackheath, the team had entirely 3-2 and 4-1 match results, making for close games throughout the season and demonstrating that the team is at the right level in Division 2.

Men's 4ths

Dulwich 4ths had an extremely successful summer season, picking up where they left off in the winter by winning division 3. The 4ths had a comfortable time of things winning every single match early on, unfortunately the dream of going undefeated to was dashed on the last game of the season vs. second place Blackheath. Ivor Green once again didn't lose a single match for the 4ths, while Ben Weatherill continued to play well at 1. The club's improved position was bolstered by great performances from new members Nadeem Chugtai and Declan Connor who have added strength and depth.
